Daniel Comboni is an enthusiastic Acoustics Consultant with a deep-rooted passion for the science of sound and vibration. His journey in the field of acoustics began in 2006 when he enrolled in the Sound and Acoustics Civil Engineering program in Santiago, Chile. Eager to expand his knowledge, he pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physics from Wheaton College (Illinois) in 2009. His unwavering dedication to his long-term goal led him to England, where he achieved his objective of obtaining a Master's degree (M.Sc.) in Environmental Acoustics from the University of Salford in 2012.
With over ten years of professional experience, Daniel has a diverse background in the field of acoustics. He spent three years as an Applications Engineer at Larson Davis, an internationally renowned manufacturer of acoustic measurement equipment. In this role, he provided technical support for a wide range of acoustic and vibration instrumentation, delivered technical training to sales channels nationally and internationally, and deepened his knowledge of specialized measurement techniques and equipment.
Daniel then transitioned to Ford Motor Company, where he dedicated eight years to roles as an NVH (Noise, Vibration & Harshness) Engineer and Feature Systems Engineer. During his time at Ford, he honed his expertise in automotive acoustics, working on noise reduction strategies, vibration control, and developing innovative audio systems. His technical acumen and problem-solving skills contributed to the success of various vehicle programs.
In 2020, Daniel embarked on a new endeavor, starting his own business. He designed recording studios and implemented acoustic conditioning in church sanctuaries, combining his technical expertise with his passion for music and sound. Additionally, he has amassed twelve years of experience in live sound and recording through various volunteering efforts.
Since joining Soundscape Engineering in 2023, Daniel has expanded his expertise in architectural acoustics and environmental noise assessment He brings a wealth of knowledge in acoustics, engineering, and practical problem-solving to every project at Soundscape.
