Soundscape would like to welcome Kenadie Barringer to our consulting team! She is a 2023 graduate from the University of Hartford with a degree in Acoustical Engineering and Music.
Before joining Soundscape full-time, Kenadie interned at Harman International for two summers working in their vehicle sound system ground and critical listening space for psycho-acoustic analysis testing.
As an undergraduate, she spent two summers as an Acoustical Engineering Intern and Research and Development Intern at Harman International Novi. She performed acoustic testing and tuning of vehicle sound systems. She evaluated and made architectural acoustic recommendations for the Novi critical listening space used for psychoacoustic analysis as apart of Harman vehicle audio system evaluations. She also completed a multi-site assessment of Noise Isolation Class and Reverberation Time for a series of sound system tuning rooms that were experiencing sound transmission issues.
Following her internship, she designed and tested a 3D printed dodecahedron loudspeaker for acoustic testing as part of her engineering capstone project.
Kenadie is a seasoned musician and performer. Playing oboe and piano, she performed with her high school at Carnegie Hall as principal oboist. As a jazz musician she was selected as MSBOA All State Best Jazz pianist in 2019 and continues to perform with and support local musicians.
