Nathan Sevener, Soundscape Engineering LLC partner and Principal Acoustical Consultant, presented at Noise-con 2013 in Denver. His presentation, entitled “Acoustical design of the perception based engineering laboratory at Ray W. Herrick Laboratories Center for High Performance Buildings,” described...

...the approach taken by Soundscape Engineering and the rest of the project design team in isolating this new laboratory from sound and vibration. The laboratory, construction of which has just recently been completed, is dedicated to exploring the interface of human senses and machines. Presentation of the unique design challenges imposed by the program requirements and siting and the methodology used to address them provided an instructive case study for other noise and vibration control engineers.
